Random Photography
These are just some photos I took a few months ago around where I live. It was a rainy day and I was feeling quite down. I found some interesting stuff mainly a lot of animal bones. These are just a few of the photos I took but I like these the most.
Aberdeen Art Gallery
So several months ago I went to Aberdeen Art Gallery. It's pretty cool, I love the entry, the fountain the neon sign by Tracy Emin just behind it. I found it relaxing somehow. It didn't make my brain hurt from trying to read into it I was able to enjoy it.
Tracy Emin, For You
It's neon and eye catching. I'm simplifying because I appreciate it most in this simple form.
Is that wrong of me? To like it solely because I like the way it looks. Maybe I liked the way it made me feel? It made me smile.
Sarah Taylor, Inner Light
I loved this, clearly I'm attracted to things with pretty lights. This is my favorite thing in the whole building. I could stare at it for hours. I find it beautiful and inspiring, at times it even makes me want to cry. I don't know why maybe because it's called inner light and that makes me think of the sole. This undefinable thing in all of us that makes us who we are, the very thing that makes us different. If you believe in that sort of thing.
Now I feel really bad because I can't remember who this is by and I know I should know. I have tried to find it several times. I think this is so creepy and disturbing but I love it. It's different from all the other portraits upstairs that hurt my eyes and bore me to tears with their plainness. This is both real and abstract. I feel a kind of sympathy for the creature portrayed. I can't really explain why.
One off the reasons I don't "blog" as much as I should is because I always think I'm saying the wrong thing. I often think I should have some long winded, deep reason why I like something. But I don't think my brain works that way. It has trouble getting thoughts organised coherently enough to explain them to others. So I'm just going to do things my way.
Oh Dear....
Ok so I'm really bad a blogging. But I'm considering giving it another shot. I'm back at college so I should have more to share? So here's the plan I'm going to update with all the things I've been up to over the last year or so and hopefully some new stuff. I'm just going to post whatever I want and see what happens.

Show Racism the Red Card Poster
We're all the same on the inside.
This is my final piece for my Show Racism the Red Card project. It's all about how we're all the same on the inside, we all have a beating heart, we all bleed the same colour, no matter the colour of our skin, we're all people. We shouldn't judge people based on how the look.

Photography
Some of my favourite photos from my photography project.
I like how the branches make you feel caged in, the colour also looks great.
I like how the bee is captured and how the colour works within the image.
I think this viewpoint is really interesting and the colour ties together the old house and the traffic cone.
the colour really brings out the detail in the web.

Paper Making
We started paper making last week at college and these are the papers I made.
Simple first attempts just trying to get the pulp even, bottom right has lavender and other petals embedded in it, which makes the paper smell quite nice. I like the discoloured and uneven edge.
Top: has petals in the paper, but you can't really see them, you can just see how they've discoloured the paper. Bottom: various petals, tissue paper and thread, the tissue paper adds a bright layer of colour and also the dye has coloured the thread which looks interesting.
Various petals and lavender, one type of petal keeps its colour and also dyes the paper around it a nice shade of blue.
Thread and petals.
